The
Arena can accommodate up to 4,500 people for
conventions, concerts, and various attractions. Over
15,000 sq. ft. of floor space is available for trade
shows, etc. All the necessary utilities, state of the
art sound system, 80' x 36' portable stage, and
spacious delivery entrance are all included for your
convenience. The Main Arena is the current home ice
for the
Port
Huron Minor Hockey Association, the
Port Huron Icehawks and the
Port Huron Figure
Skating Club.
ARENA
ACCESS
The main
arena has two main corridors. They are the north and
south sides of the building. There is no access to the
building on the east end and only locker room and
loading entrances on the west. A single set of doors
are located at the ends of each of these corridors
under sections 1, 2, 19, and 20. Four sets of doors
are located in the center of the corridors under
section 9, 10, 11, and 12. The center doors are the
entrance doors for events. The end corridor doors are
for exit only.
BOX OFFICE
The main
box office is located on the south side of the arena
under section 14. During events, two smaller box
offices are open to purchase or pick up tickets. They
are located in the center of the two corridors
directly in front of the main entrance doors.
PARKING
LOTS
Parking
is available on both north and south sides of the
arena. The north lot will hold 350 cars and the south
400. Within 2 blocks of the arena over 2000 public and
street parking spots are available.
CONCESSIONS
The main
canteen is located on the south side under sections 16
and 18. The north side canteen is located under
sections 3 and 5. The canteen under section 6 and 4
only sells beer, wine and soft drinks. The other two
canteens are full service. Pizza stands are also set
up in the north and south corridors. Pepsi products
are available at all concession locations.
RESTROOMS
The
Restrooms are located under section 6 in the south
hallway and under section 15 in the north hallway.
MAIN FLOOR
The main
floor is 185' X 85'. The surface is ice or Concrete
(depending on the season). An insulated composite
floor is available to cover the ice for concerts or
convention purposes. The dasher boards have 8 ft.
glass on the ends and 4 ft. glass on the sides for ice
hockey. The glass is removable for concerts and
conventions.
RIGGING
INFORMATION
The
floor to the roof is 50 ft. The floor to the bottom of
the baffles is 32 ft. The high steel runs the width of
the building 6 ft. on center. The trusses run the
length of the arena 19 ft. on center. The baffles are
triangular and are 12 ft. wide. Rigging can not be
hung from any of the 4 baffles. The loading door is 12
ft. high and 14 ft. in width. A fork truck is
available if needed as well as a Genie lift. Some
areas of the arena can only be rigged with a bucket
truck.

AVAILABLE
POWER
400 amp
3 phase 5 wire dedicated power is available for
lighting and 100 amp 3 phase 5 wire is available for
audio applications. The arena is also wired for
communications to the spotlight positions and control
boxes.
SEATING
CAPACITIES
Hockey
seating capacity is 3,373 (including 215 standing room
tickets). Seating capacity for a concert application
is 4,599 minus seats taken out for production
purposes.
McMorran
Place Pavilion
This
25,000 sq. ft. Pavilion is a multi-use facility suited
ideally for exhibitions, conventions and receptions.
It also serves as the focal point for minor hockey
activities. The 120' x 210' area finds growing use as
a site for festivals, dances, and special events such
as auto shows, dog shows, and larger wedding
receptions.
